Direct answer

In a practice, AI helps with admin and writing, never with diagnosis or treatment: turning dictated notes into a clean report, preparing letters to insurers and colleagues, answering patients’ practical questions. This is health data: the tool and its settings are chosen before any trial, and the practitioner reviews everything.

Reports from dictated notes

The practitioner dictates notes after the consultation; the assistant formats them using the practice’s template. The practitioner reviews, corrects and signs; nothing enters the patient record without their approval.

What we measure — Time between the consultation and the signed report, and corrections made on review.

Letters to insurers and colleagues

Requests for cost approval, reports to the insurer, referral letters: the assistant prepares the letter from the parts of the record the practitioner selects.

What we measure — Writing time per letter and the number of requests for more information from insurers.

Patients’ practical questions

Opening hours, documents to bring, moving an appointment, a prescription renewal to pass on: the assistant drafts replies to the front desk’s e-mails. Any medical question goes to the practitioner.

What we measure — Front-desk response time and the volume of calls about practical questions.

Medical confidentiality (art. 321 Swiss Criminal Code) and the nFADP, which classes health data as sensitive, apply to everything that goes into the tool. The tools we select make it possible to comply if data is not used for training, hosting and sub-processors are documented, data is kept to the minimum, and patients are informed where required.

How much does it cost for an SME?

A half-day workshop on your own cases: from CHF 1,900 excl. VAT. To roll it out with your teams: a subscription from CHF 1,800/month (10 h), three months minimum, or a fixed-price engagement on quotation. Details are on the pricing page.

Do we need an AI manager?

No, not in an SME. What works: a contact point who validates usage, not a dedicated role.
