AI implementation plan: a complete example, with costs and dates

This document shows, end to end, the AI plan of a fictional company, Arvenne SA: what to measure first, which projects to keep, what it costs and in what order to proceed. It is an example built from our engagements, not a client’s plan.

For an SME of 20 to 100 people

The example describes a much larger company, with a CHF 486,000 budget over nine months. For you, the same approach fits into a few weeks:

  • One or two projects instead of three stages: start with the task that wastes the most time (re-keying, reminders, quotes).
  • No AI committee: one person in charge and a half-hour check-in each month are enough.
  • Worth reusing as is: the idea-scoring grid (chapter 4), the list of costed assumptions (chapter 8) and the 5 tools in the appendices.
  • To get started: an AI Workshop (from CHF 1,900 excl. VAT) to choose the projects, then AI Adoption Support (from CHF 1,800/month (10 h) excl. VAT) if you want ongoing help.

Who this document is for

The example describes an organisation of 200 to 2,000 employees. For a smaller SME, the box above says what to keep.

01

Management

You want to see what a serious AI plan looks like before committing a franc: stages, budget, evidence.

02

IT and security

You have to say where the data is, who accesses what and what is logged: chapter 5 answers that.

03

Project leads

You are preparing a case for management: the scoring grid, the allocation of roles and the risk list are reusable.

What this example is

Arvenne SA is fictional. The plan is built from situations and orders of magnitude met in our engagements, recombined so that no client can be recognised. Amounts are realistic ranges; assumptions are flagged as such.

Is it free?

Yes. The document is complete: no paid version hidden behind a sales call.

Why do you ask for my details?

To know who reads this document and to be able to contact you once about it. You can decline any further contact; your data is never passed to third parties.

Is the case real?

No. Arvenne SA is fictional; the situations, orders of magnitude and decisions come from our engagements, recombined so that no client can be recognised. The document says so.

Is it useful for a 30-person SME?

The structure, yes; the scale, no. An SME keeps one or two projects and moves in a few weeks. The box “For an SME of 20 to 100 people” says what to keep.

Which languages does the PDF exist in?

English (57 pages) and French (60 pages). German and Italian versions will follow if demand justifies it.
