AI for hotels and restaurants: enquiries, reviews, menus

Who it is for
Hotels of 10 to 80 rooms, restaurants and small groups of a few venues: a lean admin team, enquiries in several languages, strong seasons.
Software in use
PMS and booking (Mews, Protel, Cloudbeds…), POS (Lightspeed…), Booking.com and Google for reviews, e-mail and WhatsApp
A manager seen from behind checks a laptop on a stainless-steel counter, a reservations book open beside it.

Direct answer

In a hotel or restaurant, AI saves time on writing, not in the kitchen or at reception: preparing offers for groups and banquets, replying to online reviews, keeping the menu and allergen information up to date in several languages. Bookings stay in your system; AI prepares the texts, the team approves them.

Group, seminar and banquet enquiries

The assistant reads the enquiry (dates, headcount, budget, dietary needs), prepares an offer from your packages and menus and lists the questions to ask. The sales manager checks availability and sends it.

What we measure — Response time to group enquiries and the share of enquiries confirmed.

Replies to online reviews

For each Google or Booking.com review, the assistant suggests a reply in the guest’s language that addresses the points raised without stock phrases. The manager or front office manager publishes it.

What we measure — The share of reviews that get a reply, and the response time.

Menus and allergens in several languages

Each time the menu changes, the assistant updates the descriptions in French, German and Italian and prepares the allergen list from the recipe sheets. The chef checks every dish.

What we measure — Time to update a menu and the errors found on checking.

Allergen information is a legal requirement (FDHA ordinance on food information): AI helps format and translate it, checking stays with the chef. Guest data falls under the nFADP; the tools we select make it possible to comply if that data is not used for training and access is limited.

How much does it cost for an SME?

A half-day workshop on your own cases: from CHF 1,900 excl. VAT. To roll it out with your teams: a subscription from CHF 1,800/month (10 h), three months minimum, or a fixed-price engagement on quotation. Details are on the pricing page.

Do we need an AI manager?

No, not in an SME. What works: a contact point who validates usage, not a dedicated role.
